Gates of Olympus Super Scatter – Slot Review
Pragmatic Play keeps building on one of its most successful franchises. Gates of Olympus Super Scatter takes the familiar 6×5 scatter-pays grid and introduces a brand new symbol type – the Super Scatter – that can pay up to 50,000x your stake in a single trigger. That ceiling is ten times higher than the original.
The core gameplay loop hasn’t changed much. Match 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the grid, watch them tumble away, and hope for multiplier orbs landing on top. Those orbs range from 2x to 500x and stack within a cascade sequence. If you’ve played the original, you already know the drill.
What Makes the Super Scatter Different
Here’s where it gets interesting. When you land 4+ scatters to trigger the bonus round, any Super Scatter symbols in that combo pay instant multiplied rewards. One Super Scatter in the trigger pays 100x your total bet. Two of them? 500x. Three gets you 5,000x. And if all four scatters happen to be Super Scatters – that’s the full 50,000x max win, right there, before free spins even start.
Worth noting: Super Scatters do NOT appear during free spins. Their payouts are exclusive to the trigger moment. So the bonus round itself plays identically to the original Gates of Olympus. Some players will find that disappointing, honestly.
Ante Bet and Buy Bonus Options
The Ante Bet runs at 1.5x your normal stake and boosts the chance of landing scatter symbols. Two Buy Bonus options are available: standard Free Spins at 100x, and Super Free Spins at 500x that start with a minimum 10x multiplier already active. At 500x buy-in, you’re making a significant bet that the bonus will deliver something big.
Free Spins Round
Land 4+ scatters and you get 15 free spins. Three or more scatters during the round retrigger for 5 extra spins. Multiplier orbs accumulate throughout the entire bonus without resetting between spins. This is the same mechanic that made the original so popular with streamers, and it still works.
Our Take
If you already liked the original Gates of Olympus, the Super Scatter mechanic adds genuine tension to every trigger attempt. That moment when scatters start landing and you’re counting whether any are Super Scatters – that feeling is new, and it’s real.
The criticism? Outside of that trigger mechanic, this is the same slot. Same symbols, same music, same Zeus animations. But for a 50,000x ceiling and 96.50% RTP at very high volatility, the math model alone might justify checking it out. We gave it a 9/10.
